Bounty Gold Corp stakes new gold project in Northwestern Ontario

Bounty Gold Corp has acquired by staking a 6,000 hectare gold exploration project, the Miminiska Gold Project, in the Fort Hope area of Northwestern Ontario.

Historic exploration on the property in the 1980’s produced gold intercepts that warrant follow up exploration to determine their economic significance. These included DDH 86-05 which had three separate intercepts of 0.17 oz/t Au over 12 ft, 0.15 oz/t Au over 9 ft and 0.12 oz/t Au over 14 ft. DDH 84-11, collared 400 ft to the northeast intercepted 0.093 oz/t over 35 ft. These intercepts are from the Baroque-Felmont Zone, one of several auriferous zones identified over the 15 km NE-SW metavolcanic-metasedimentary contact covered by the property.

Large-scale regional folds with corresponding EM anomalies have not yet tested by diamond drilling. Broad zones of deformation and intense silica flooding and carbonization, with associated gold and pathfinder elements (arsenic, antimony) suggest this is a highly prospective environment for a discovery of economic significance.

Bounty Gold Corp is currently reviewing and reinterpreting historical data and regional government surveys. This property is not available for option at the present time.
