The Cosgrave Property is a lithium-REE exploration opportunity located 30 km northeast of Nipigon, Ontario.
The Cosgrave Property is underlain by the southwest portion of the Glacier Lake Batholith, an S-type, peraluminous granite, possibly with rafts or enclaves of metasediments enclosed within.
Ontario Geological Survey mapping shows eight pegmatites, each possibly several hundred meters long, within property boundaries. There is no additional information regarding the characteristics of these pegmatites, and confirming their presence, making observations of their characteristics and sampling the pegmatites for geochemical analysis will be the priority for this project in the near-term.
The nearest spodumene-bearing pegmatites at MNW and Cosgrave Lake are 2.5 km and 3.5 km north of the west and east portions of the Cosgrave Property, respectively.
