The Gathering Lake North (2,098 hectares) and Gathering Lake South (1,470 hectares) properties are lithium-REE exploration opportunities located 75 km northeast of Nipigon, Ontario.
The Gathering Lake North property straddles the northern contact of the Glacier Lake Batholith with the surrounding metasediments to the north. The Gathering Lake South property is entirely within the Glacier Lake Batholith, with rafts or enclaves of metasediments enclosed within.
Ontario Geological Survey reconnaissance sampling in the general area demonstrated an increase in fractioning of pegmatites to the north (toward the northern contact of the Glacier Lake Batholith) as well as to the east (east of Gathering Lake). Each property is well positioned with respect to these trends.
The nearest spodumene-bearing pegmatites is located in between the two properties, within the Gathering Lake pegmatite group, in a similar geological setting.
Next steps include grassroots prospecting to identify, document the characteristics of and sample pegmatites discovered to determine the level of fractioning and potential for rare-element mineralization.
