Grassroots Prospecting

The Parks Lake Property is a lithium-REE exploration opportunity located 63 km northeast of Nipigon, Ontario.

This large district-scale property covers the area between the most prolific lithium district in Ontario, the Georgia Lake pegmatite fields, with the Gathering Lake pegmatite field. It occupies the northern contact of the Glacier Lake Batholith, an S-type, peraluminous granite and covers its northern contact with surrounding metasediments.

Extensive reconnaissance sampling was conducted in this area by the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS) during Operation Treasure Hunt in 2006-2008. Geochemical analysis indicated a fractioning trend, with increased fractioning (as indicated by K/Rb) toward the northern and northeastern contacts of the Glacier Lake Batholith.

Several rare-element occurrences are documented on the Parks Lake Property, including two beryl occurrences, two possible lepidolite (lithium-bearing muscovite) occurrences and one occurrence of oxide minerals in pegmatite (they were not subsequently identified through electron microprobe).

Reconnaissance grassroots prospecting by Bounty Gold Corp. during the fall of 2022 has confirmed access to the property, as well as confirmed the presence of pegmatites in both the western (Georgia Lake) and eastern (Gathering Lake) areas of the property. Next steps include more detailed grassroots prospecting to identify, observe the characteristics of and collect samples of the pegmatites for geochemical analysis
